Der kleine, aber feine Ort Belfort ist ein idealer Einstieg für eine Tour durch die Vogesen. Genau das haben wir gemacht und später dann noch die Stadt Nancy besucht, die uns allerdings nicht so gut gefallen hat. Ganz anders unser Zielort Metz nahe der Grenze zu Luxemburg. Metz ist sehenswert und abwechselungsreich! Am heutigen Tag 26 starten wir in Le Monêtier-les-Bains, einer französischen Gemeinde im Département Hautes-Alpes in der Region Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Wir legen heute nicht nur Kilometer sondern vor allem auch Höhenmeter zurück. Auf unserem Weg nach Albertville nehmen wir den ein oder anderen Pass mit und sind mehrfach über 2000 Meter hoch. Mit Tag 24 neigen sich Sommer, Sonne und Meer in Bella Italia dem Ende zu und wir traben allmählich wieder mehr Richtung Norden. Ein bisschen schade - aber dafür deutlich kühler. Nach einem Lazy-Tag in Vada fahren wir heute Richtung Norden und landen nach einem Abstecher in Cinque Terre schließlich wieder auf einem Campingplatz in Rapallo. Hotels sind in dieser Gegend zu dieser Zeit entweder sauteuer oder bereits ausgebucht - kein Wunder, im August machen alle Italiner Urlaub und fahren ans Meer. Am 10. Tag unserer Europa Motorrad-Reise starten wir in Turku und fahren dann mit der Fähre von Helsinki nach Tallinn. Am 6. Tag gehts innerhalb Norwegens von Solfjord nach Stordal. Wir sehen viele schöne Wasserfälle und fahren durch mehrere Hochebenen. Am 4. Tag fahren wir durch Süd-West Norwegen. Los gehts in der Nähe von Oslo Richtung Westen, wir streifen den östlichen Teil der Hardangervidda und fahren durch den wunderschönen Nationalpark "Hallingskarvet". Kurz vor unserem Zielort Flam müssen wir durch zahlreiche kalte und sehr, sehr feuchte Tunnel.
